The local separation into a men's and a women's race will take place for the last time this year, as announced by the world federation.
The men will start once again in Nice this year, while the women will determine their world champion in Hawaii. The rotation originally planned for 2026 will no longer take place.
There had been repeated criticism of the format in recent years. Until 2019, both competitions were held together in Hawaii.
