Just like last year, Jonas Hasler achieves a top result at the Laax Open. The 19-year-old from Thurgau jumps to 6th place in the snowboarders' slopestyle final.

Hasler, who was the only Swiss to qualify for the final of the top twelve, particularly shone in the jumps. He missed out on an even better result on the comparatively easy rail. However, in sixth place, he was only slightly behind his 5th place from last season and equaled his third-best career result.

Hasler is one of the few athletes still competing in both halfpipe and slopestyle. He also wants to compete in big air at the Olympic Games.

Frenchman Romain Allemand took victory on Sunday ahead of Japan's Yuto Kimura and Chinese big air Olympic champion Su Yiming. Japan's Kokomo Murase won the women's event ahead of Lily Dhawornvej from the USA and Anna Gasser from Austria.
