Bad luck for Jonas Schelker: The Kriens-Lucerne playmaker has suffered another serious knee injury and will miss his club and the Swiss national team for a long time again.
Kriens-Lucerne announced that Schelker suffered a complex knee injury on Tuesday evening in the first leg of the European League round of 16 against Limoges, which will require surgery. The 25-year-old suffered an extremely unfortunate twist in his first action in the Stadthalle Sursee and subsequently had to be carried off the court.
Schelker only made his comeback in February after suffering a torn cruciate ligament in his left knee in the run-up to the European Championships in early 2024.
