The Danish Tour de France winner from 2022 and 2023 reached the finish line more than two minutes ahead of the first chasers after a winding 206 kilometers from Cormoranche-sur-Saône to Colombier-le-Vieux and extended his lead in the overall standings.
After his second stage win in 24 hours, Vingegaard goes into the final three stages with a considerable lead of 3:22 minutes over the Colombian Daniel Felipe Martinez. The German Georg Steinhauser is already almost six minutes behind Vingegaard in third place overall.
Second and third place on Thursday went to Frenchman Valentin Paret-Peintre (2:02 minutes back) and Colombian Harold Tejada (2:20). The best Swiss was Johan Jacobs in 32nd place, more than eleven minutes behind.
