Julie Derron wins her second race of the T100 World Tour in Dubai and can dream of overall victory again.
After a 2 km swim, 80 km bike ride and 18 km run, the Olympic silver medalist from Paris relegated the overall leader Kate Waugh from Great Britain and her compatriot Jessica Learmonth to the other podium places.
The 29-year-old from Zurich, who had to miss the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii due to a bike crash in August, moved up to second place in the overall standings.
The final on December 13 in Qatar promises to be an exciting three-way battle. Waugh, Derron and Britain's Lucy Charles-Barclay in first to third place are only separated by nine points. The overall winner can look forward to prize money of 210,000 dollars.
