In the parallel giant slalom in Krynica-Zdroj, the Swiss skiers were unable to get past Michelle Dekker: Ladina Caviezel was beaten in the round of 16 by the Dutchwoman, as was Julie Zogg in the semi-final.
Instead, the 32-year-old from St. Gallen won the small final and secured her fourth podium finish of the World Cup season - two each in the giant slalom and slalom. Victory went to Germany's Ramona Hofmeister, who has now won six of the last seven parallel races.
Two Swiss women in the top 8
Snowboardcross. - At the Snowboardcross World Cup in Erzurum, Turkey, both Swiss women reached the small final. Sina Siegenthaler achieved her second-best result of the season in sixth place after third place in Beidahu, China. In her first World Cup season, 17-year-old Noémie Wiedmer finished eighth and made it into the top 10 for the third time. In the men's event, the only Swiss athlete, Kalle Koblet, failed to make it through to the round of 16.
