In the Swiss duel between the Winnipeg Jets with Nino Niederreiter and the San Jose Sharks with Philipp Kurashev, the Sharks celebrate a narrow 2-1 victory.
In the only game with Swiss participation on Friday evening local time, the Jets took the lead in the first period, with Niederreiter providing the assist. However, the Sharks equalized just under a minute later thanks to Canadian Macklin Celebrini, who now leads the NHL scoring charts with 23 points.
A goalless middle period followed before Will Smith made it 2:1 for the Sharks with a backhand shot, scoring the last goal of the game. Kurashev was one of the assists on the winning goal.
