Juho Lammikko is returning to the ZSC Lions. After a brief stint in the USA with the New Jersey Devils, the Finn is back with the Swiss champions.

Lammikko joined the franchise with Swiss internationals Nico Hischier, Timo Meier and Jonas Siegenthaler last summer. After 24 appearances, the northerner's third attempt in the NHL ended prematurely after those with the Florida Panthers and the Vancouver Canucks.

An agreement with NHL officials allows Swiss National League players with a valid contract to transfer overseas until June 15. The 30-year-old Lammikko made use of this option.

With the ZSC Lions, Lammikko will fulfill his contract, which is valid until the end of the season after next. He joined the Zurich club three and a half years ago from the Canucks and won the Swiss championship twice and the Champions Hockey League once with the city club. He was twice world champion with the Finnish national team (2019 and 2022).
