World number one and last year's winner Scottie Scheffler leads the field at the PGA Championship in the USA with 67 strokes after the first day.
The American is ranked in a tie for 1st place with six other players. However, Masters winner Roy McIlroy is not one of them. The world number two from Northern Ireland is only in 105th place after a poor round of 74.
The 108th PGA Championship at the Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square in the US state of Pennsylvania is the second of four major tournaments. The US Masters has already taken place, with the US Open and the British Open to follow.
