Failed in the final of the CEV Cup with Chieri: Swiss national volleyball player Laura Künzler
Keystone
Laura Künzler misses out on becoming the third Swiss volleyball player to win a trophy in the European Cup.
The 29-year-old from Aargau also lost the second leg of the final of the CEV Cup, the second-highest European competition, with her club Chieri 76 against Galatasaray Istanbul.
The 2:3 at home in Turin was followed by a 1:3 in Turkey. Künzler scored nine points. Anne-Sylvie Monnet (1986 with Modena, also in the CEV Cup) and Maja Storck (2023 with Chieri, one level lower in the Challenge Cup) thus remain the only Swiss European Cup winners.
