Lausanne HC has retained head coach Geoff Ward for the long term. The Canadian has extended his contract with the Vaud club, which was originally due to expire at the end of next season, by two years.

Ward's contract is now valid until the end of the 2027-28 season.
The 63-year-old Canadian took over the coaching job at Lake Geneva in November 2022 and led the team to the playoff final in the last two seasons. However, Lausanne missed out on the first championship title in the club's history against the ZSC Lions.
