Lisa Vittozzi, the winner of last winter's Biathlon World Cup, has definitively decided not to return this season, her federation has announced.

The Italian is suffering from back problems.

The 29-year-old will therefore miss the World Championships in Lenzerheide in February. At the 2024 World Championships in Nove Mesto, she won gold in the singles and three silver medals (pursuit, mass start, single-mixed relay).
