Luke Littler reaches the final of the World Darts Championship for the third time in a row. The defending champion gives Ryan Searle no chance in the semi-final and wins 6:1 sets.
The 18-year-old world champion from England, the top favorite for the title, only conceded the first set to his compatriot. After that, the world number 1, who became the youngest darts world champion for the first time last year, opened up. In the meantime, Littler secured eleven legs in a row.
Only record world champion Phil Taylor (14 times between 1994 and 2007) and Gary Anderson (three times between 2015 and 2017) have reached the final of the World Darts Championship three times in a row.
In the final, Littler will face either Gian van Veen or two-time world champion Anderson, who triumphed at Alexandra Palace in London in 2015 and 2016. The 23-year-old Dutchman and the 22-year-old Scotsman will determine the second finalist late on Friday evening. On Saturday (9.15 p.m.), the record prize money of one million pounds will be at stake in the "Ally Pally".
