Kevin Fiala and the Los Angeles Kings lose 2-1 on the road against the Washington Capitals.
Kevin Fiala was one of the assists on Anze Kopitar's goal to tie the game at 1-2, but it was the only goal of the game for the Kings.
Matt Roy and Alex Owetschkin had previously scored for the Capitals, the latter for the 903rd time in the NHL. A scoreless final period followed before the Kings' four-game winning streak came to an end. This was also because Charlie Lindgren, the Capitals' goalie, saved 30 shots.
"We got better and better in the game and had good chances," Fiala was quoted as saying on the NHL website after the game. "They had good chances too, but Darcy Kuemper kept us in the game," the 29-year-old continued about the Kings' goalie, who saved a total of 23 shots.
