Lucas Meister, center for champions Kadetten Schaffhausen, has suffered an untimely knee injury. He will be out for ten weeks and will probably miss the World Championships in January with the national team.
Meister tore his inner ligament in training on Wednesday. The injury is being treated conservatively and there will be no operation.
The 28-year-old Meister will not only miss all games with Kadetten Schaffhausen in the last two months of the year, but also the European Championship qualifiers against Germany and Austria with the national team - and most likely also the World Championship in January.
