The story of the game was written by Einar Emanuelsson (28), who joined Lugano this week from Swedish champions Lulea and scored the groundbreaking 2:1 in his first game for his new club.

The spectators in Davos saw a thrilling game: The Rapperswil-Jona Lakers led 3:1 in Davos until the 48th minute, but conceded 31 penalty minutes (!) in the final period and thus initiated the turnaround themselves. Davos won the penalty shoot-out 5:4. The Lakers also failed to capitalize on three opportunities to decide the game in the penalty shoot-out.

The surprise that the Lakers missed out on in Davos came from Ajoie. At the bottom of the table, Kloten (12th) lost 3-2 to Ajoie (14th) despite dominating the second period.

The game between the two big clubs in crisis was won 2-1 by SC Bern against the ZSC Lions, while Biel lost 3-2 to HC Fribourg-Gottéron in the Seeland.
