Lugano defeated Biel 6-0 at home and celebrated their eighth win in the last nine games. Luca Fazzini, who had to leave Friday's game in Kloten (2:1) early due to gastrointestinal problems, scored the home team's first two goals. Canadian Michael Sgarbossa even scored three times. He scored the 3:0 (28.) in the powerplay as well as Lorenzo Canonica the 5:0 (51.). These were only the 8th and 9th overtime goals of the season for the team from southern Ticino. While Lugano's keeper Niklas Schlegel did not concede a goal for the third time this season thanks to 21 saves, Biel suffered their fourth defeat in a row.

Bern wins thrilling derby

SC Bern seems to be slowly but surely finding its feet. Coach Heinz Ehlers' team beat the SCL Tigers 4:3 after overtime and won twice in a row for only the second time in the current championship. On Tuesday, the Bernese team had already won in the Champions Hockey League at the Swedish team Brynäs (2:1). The derby in Langnau was thrilling. The SCB fell behind twice, 1:2 (34.) and 2:3 (48.), but Marco Lehmann tied the game 3:3 in the 56th minute on the power play. In overtime, Benjamin Baumgartner, the scorer of the 1:0 goal (3.), was then responsible for the decision in favor of the visitors (64.). Langnau had won all three of its previous home games against SCB.

Lakers turn the game around and end losing streak

In the duel between Rapperswil-Jona and Kloten, it looked like the Lakers would suffer their eighth defeat in a row after two periods. Despite 23:11 shots on goal after 40 minutes, St. Gallen were trailing 0:2. The goals for Kloten were scored by Tyler Morley (22nd) and Reto Schäppi (33rd), who was successful for the first time this season. Rapperswil then capitalized on their superiority in the final period. Malte Strömwall (45') and Gian-Marco Wetter (52'), who had not scored in eight games in a row, saved the Lakers with their goals in overtime, in which Dominic Lammer scored with a deflection (62') to make it 3:2. It was Rapperswil's second win in the last seven games against Kloten.

Ambri wins thanks to a strong final third

Ambri-Piotta managed their fourth home win in a row against Fribourg-Gottéron. The Leventines turned a 1:2 (36.) into a 4:2 in the last 20 minutes. The goals of the hosts in the final period were scored by Michael Joly on a penalty (48.), Lukas Landry (55.) and Miles Müller (60.), who scored for the fourth game in a row. Fribourg's 1:1 was scored by Jacob de la Rose (30), for whom it was his fourth goal in the last three games. A run of three wins came to an end for Gottéron.

Returning Keller hectors Ajoie to victory

Ajoie celebrated only their fourth win in the 24th game of the season. Jonathan Hazen put the Jura side ahead on the power play in the 3rd minute of their home game against Genève-Servette. The 1:0 lead lasted until 37 seconds before the end, when Jerry Turkulainen made everything clear with a shot into the empty net. The hosts' match-winner, however, was goalie Antoine Keller, who played his first game for Ajoie after returning to Switzerland from North America. The 21-year-old saved all 42 shots on goal.
