Ma Long wins his sixth gold medal at the Summer Olympics. The 35-year-old wins 3-0 against Sweden in the final with the defending champion Chinese team.
Ma was already the most successful Chinese table tennis player at the Olympics, but now he has become the most successful Chinese player across all sports.
Alongside Sweden, France also made it onto the podium. This was the first time that two European teams were in the top three. The French beat Japan 3:2 in the bronze medal match.
