In mid-June, when she won the Tour de Suisse, Marlen Reusser wanted to set her sights on the really big goals. Since then, not much has gone according to plan: she was still wearing the leader's jersey in the Giro d'Italia before falling ill. The rider from Bern had to miss out on the Tour de France. And now she will also miss the second Tour in Switzerland. The illnesses during the Giro and immediately before the Tour de France required a longer recovery break. Marlen Reusser has only just started training again.

Reusser is now focusing on the World Championships in Rwanda. She will be preparing for this in altitude training sessions in the Swiss mountains.
