Marlen Reusser is still in enviable form after her comeback. The rider from Bern finishes second in a stage at the start of the Tour of Valencia.

After a torrid year in which she missed the Olympic Games and the home World Championships due to serious health problems, Marlen Reusser is back to her old self. At the end of January, she had already achieved her first victory in her second race for her new team Movistar. Now the multiple World Championship medal winner has once again finished on the podium. In the first stage of the Tour of Valencia, Reusser was only beaten by her former teammate Demi Vollering. The Dutchwoman reached the finish line after 112 km in Gandia 30 seconds ahead of Reusser and her compatriot Anna van der Breggen solo.
Despite its lack of World Tour status, the Tour of Valencia also has a strong field this year. Last year, Reusser was the overall winner of the four-day tour in Spain.
