The game was decided in the second period. The Blues scored four goals in 5:23 minutes to take a 5-1 lead after the Jets had managed to tie the game at 1-1 in the 26th minute.

Winnipeg kept their hopes alive and pulled to within 2-5 in the 49th minute when Grisons forward Nino Niederreiter scored his second goal of the series on the power play. But St. Louis held on to the lead and forced a Game 7, which will take place on Monday night.

The Jets took Connor Hellebuyck out of the game after allowing 5 goals on 23 shots by the Blues in a 5-1 loss. The Canadian netminder had suffered the same fate in the first two games in St. Louis, where the Blues are untouchable (15 straight wins). Luckily for him and his team, Game 7 is coming up in Winnipeg.
