Elvira Öberg from Sweden was celebrated as the winner in the supreme discipline over 12.5 km with four shooting stages. Océane Michelon from France and Maren Kirkeeide from Norway took silver and bronze respectively.

Aita Gasparin initially seemed unable to break away from the back of the field after she had to shoot two penalty loops right at the start. After that, the athlete from Graubünden cleared everything and worked her way close to the top ten.

The final women's competition had started promisingly from a Swiss perspective. Lena Häcki-Gross, fourth in the sprint and fifth in the pursuit, took the lead with a first flawless shooting. She was not flawless in the second round, but despite a penalty, the Obwalden native remained in the leading group. The first standing shooting, however, cost her dearly. Lena Häcki-Gross circled twice through the additional loop and finished 18th. In the end, she missed five targets and was also unable to make up ground on the cross-country ski run in the deep snow. The second half of the competition was not a success.

Amy Baserga missed out on qualifying for the mass start of the top 30 after a failed start to the World Championships.
