Meier played a central role in the Devils' victory. The Swiss equalized with around a minute to go to tie the game at 3-3 and take the Devils into overtime. There Jesper Bratt scored the decisive goal to win 4:3. This makes the Devils the first team to win ten times this NHL season.

"It's nice to get ten wins, but we want to continue to improve our game," Meier was quoted as saying on the NHL website. They could learn a lot from the game.

Janis Moser also won with the Tampa Bay Lightning. He was one of the assists in the 6-3 win over the Vegas Golden Knights, tying the game at 2-2 in the middle period. Swiss goalie Akira Schmid was a substitute in his Knights' defeat.

Pius Suter also celebrated a win with his team. After the St. Louis Blues suffered a 6-1 defeat on Wednesday evening local time, the Blues won 3-0 against the Buffalo Sabres one day later.

Lian Bichsel, on the other hand, was less successful with the Dallas Stars. The result was a 5:7 defeat against the Anaheim Ducks. Kevin Fiala and the Los Angeles Kings also lost. They suffered a clear 5-2 defeat against the Florida Panthers.
