The Swiss professional cycling team Tudor takes its first win of the season on the World Tour.
Australian Michael Storer wins the 7th stage of Paris - Nice, arriving in the winter sports resort of Auron ahead of Swiss rider Mauro Schmid.
Storer distanced Schmid on the final climb of the 109-kilometer stage from Nice towards the Maritime Alps. He won the stage, which was shortened due to the bad weather, with a 20-second lead over the Swiss champion and celebrated his first victory for Tudor in the sleet. Both had broken away from the field early on in the race in an escape group. The German Georg Steinhauser finished third at an altitude of 1600 meters.
In the overall classification, the American Matteo Jorgenson, who lives on the Côte d'Azur, remains in the lead with a 37-second advantage over the second-placed German Florian Lipowitz. Another challenging mountain section follows on Sunday at the end of the long-distance race.
