The professional baseball teams of the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays cause a stir outside the USA with a marathon match.

Only after 6:39 hours of play did Freddie Freeman secure a 6:5 victory for the Dodgers with a home run in the third game of the final series. Only one World Series game has lasted longer: in 2018, the Dodgers needed 7:20 hours to beat the Boston Red Sox 3:2.

Los Angeles now leads the series 2:1 against the team from Canada. The Dodgers want to successfully defend their title from last season in the series. No Major League Baseball (MLB) team has managed to do so since 2000.
