Two-time Wimbledon winner Andy Murray dramatically delays the end of his career as a professional tennis player at the Olympic Games in Paris.

Murray and his doubles partner Dan Evans fended off five match points in the match tie-break against the Japanese duo Taro Daniel/Kei Nishikori at Roland Garros and prevailed 2:6, 7:6 (7:5), 11:9. The two Brits were trailing 4:9 in the decisive match tie-break. They already had to make up a break in the second set.

The 37-year-old Murray had previously confirmed that the Summer Games in France would be the end of his tennis career. He won Olympic gold in the singles in 2012 and 2016. In Paris, the Scot decided not to compete in the singles.
