Rafael Nadal may have played his last match at Roland Garros. The 38-year-old Spaniard was defeated by his compatriot Carlos Alcaraz in the doubles quarter-finals of the Olympic Games.
Nadal and Alcaraz lost to the two American doubles specialists Austin Krajicek/Rajeev Ram by a clear 2:6, 4:6.
It remains to be seen whether Nadal, who has been plagued by injuries of late, will continue his career at all and for how long. The 22-time major winner announced that it would be time to make a decision after the Olympic Games.
