The Predators lost 3-2 at home to the San Jose Sharks and no longer have a chance of catching the Los Angeles Kings. The victory also had no consequences for San Jose. The Sharks, who were without Philipp Kurashev for the twelfth time in a row, can, like Nashville, reach a maximum of 88 points. Josi set up the tying goal to make it 2:3 with one minute remaining, but the equalizer was never scored.
The Los Angeles Kings, without the injured Kevin Fiala, punched their play-off ticket thanks to a strong final spurt. With their fifth win in a row against the Seattle Kraken, they consolidated 8th place in the Western Conference with their 89th point.
