The Nashville Predators with captain Roman Josi are regaining hope in the battle for a playoff spot in the NHL. They ended a run of three defeats with a 6-3 home win against Boston.

The Predators set the course with four goals in the middle third. Josi set the stage for the two-goal scorer Matthew Wood to make it 5-1 in the 35th minute.
With the second win in the fifth game since the Olympic break, Nashville keeps up with the playoff places. The gap to a wild card spot in the Western Conference is three points. A maximum of 40 points are up for grabs in the remaining 20 games of the regular season.
