Nico Hischier and Timo Meier are currently putting their stamp on the New Jersey Devils' game. Both scored for the third time in a row on Thursday night, leading their NHL team to a 3-2 overtime victory over the St. Louis Blues with Pius Suter.

Hischier was involved in all three goals: He scored the equalizer at 2-2 himself, before and after that he set up one goal each. The Valais native has collected a total of eight points in the last three games and now leads the ranking of Swiss mercenaries with 21 points (8 goals/13 assists). Meier from Appenzell follows close behind with 19 points (8 goals/11 assists).

New Jersey leads the Eastern Conference table, followed by the Tampa Bay Lightning with Janis Moser. The team celebrated its fifth win in a row with a 5:1 victory over the Calgary Flames.

Josi scores in Nashville victory

The Nashville Predators showed a clear sign of life. The Western Conference basement dwellers won 6-3 away from home against the Detroit Red Wings. Roman Josi scored for the first time in the third game after his comeback - his second goal of the season. The captain converted a rebound from an acute angle to take a 3-2 lead.

The Winnipeg Jets are in a slump. The Canadians lost for the third time in a row. Nino Niederreiter also failed to find his rhythm in the 3:4 loss to the Washington Capitals. The Grisons native has been without a goal for seven games.

The Colorado Avalanche are currently overrunning every opponent. In their tenth win in a row, the San Jose Sharks felt the force of the team with Philipp Kurashev. The Californians went down 0:6.
