Julie Zogg, the third-placed qualifier, already faced the favorite Ester Ledecka in the quarter-finals, who had made do with safety runs in the morning and therefore came sixth in the heats. Ester Ledecka and Tsubaki Miki left nothing to chance and made the dream final perfect. Both athletes crashed there, but the Japanese athlete finished one second ahead. Tsubaki Miki thus successfully took revenge for her defeat in the final of the parallel giant slalom.
Dario Caviezel, who finished fourth in the parallel giant slalom like Ladina Caviezel, failed to get up to speed and was eliminated in the round of 16 in 13th place. Surprise world champion Tervel Zamfirov from Bulgaria waved from the podium as world champion.
