The men's big air snowboard final at the Freestyle World Championships in the Engadine is held without any Swiss participation. All four Swiss-Ski athletes failed to qualify.

Nicolas Huber from Zurich, bronze medal winner at the World Championships two years ago, clearly failed in 16th place in his run. Only one of his three runs went halfway to plan. Alex Lotorto fared somewhat better. The man from central Switzerland finished twelfth in his heat.

Jeremy Denda (11th) and Elias Lehner (13th) also clearly missed out on making it into the top 5 in the second tranche of qualifying. Surprisingly, the highly rated Chinese athlete Su Yiming, the Olympic champion from Beijing 2022, also failed.

No Swiss snowboarder had already reached the final in the slopestyle. The final of the top 10 in Big Air is scheduled for Friday.
