The NHL teams with Swiss participation suffered defeats on Saturday night. None of the mercenaries scored.

The Winnipeg Jets with forward Nino Niederreiter lost their home game against the Carolina Hurricanes, the leader of the Eastern Conference, 3:4. Niederreiter shot on goal four times, but failed to score. The Grisons native has now been waiting four games for his fifth goal of the season.

Kevin Fiala also failed to score for the fourth time in a row. The top scorer among the Swiss in the NHL with 16 points (9 goals/7 assists) lost with the Los Angeles Kings to the Boston Bruins 1:2 after overtime. After three consecutive defeats, the Kings have slipped to the middle of the Western Conference.
