Swiss ski acrobat Noé Roth continues to build up his confidence ahead of the Freestyle World Championships in the Engadine in mid-March.
Noé Roth jumped into the top 5 for the fourth time in the fifth competition of this World Cup season. The 24-year-old from Zug dared a lot in the Chinese ski resort of Beidahu after advancing to the final, but was unable to complete his final jump with five screws and three somersaults in difficult wind conditions. The aerials world champion finished in fifth place.
Li Tianma, who performed the same jump as Roth in the final, secured a double victory for the host country ahead of compatriot Qi Guangpu. Pirmin Werner in seventh place only just missed out on a place in the top 6 final.
