Alina Pätz and Sven Michel win the Swiss championship title in the Olympic mixed doubles in Gstaad. This also qualifies the duo for the World Championships.

Pätz was able to celebrate twice on her 35th birthday: in the best-of-3 final, Team Aarau defeated the surprise team Glarus-Bern with Stefanie Berset and Philipp Hösli 2:0. Last year's champion duo Briar Schwaller-Hürlimann and Yannick Schwaller also failed in the preliminary round, as did two-time Olympians Jenny Perret and Martin Rios.

This means that Pätz and Michel, who are also taking part in the World Championships with their respective men's and women's teams, will represent Switzerland at the Mixed Doubles World Championships in Fredericton, Canada. It will be the duo's third participation after 2011 (gold) and 2022 (silver). The tournament, which begins at the end of April, will award the quota places for the 2026 Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina.
