Pascal Jenny is now a member of the Executive Board of the International Handball Federation (IHF). The former Swiss national player heads the Commission for Organization and Competition.
Jenny prevailed over the incumbent Per Bertelsen in the election held during the Congress in Cairo. He received 103 votes, the Dane 67, giving the former top handball player another important role in the sports sector. Jenny has been Central President of the Swiss Handball Federation for three years. He has been a member of the Executive Board of Swiss Olympic for eight years, becoming Vice President this year.
Hassan Moustafa's next term of office as President of the International Handball Federation also began at the congress in Egypt's capital. The controversial Egyptian prevailed in the election against three opposing candidates. The 81-year-old Moustafa has been at the helm of the IHF for 25 years.
