The dream of participating in the Olympics is over for the Swiss-Philippine curling team.

The quartet of Brayden Carpenter, Christian Haller, the brothers Enrico and Marc Pfister and substitute Alan Frei failed in the preliminary round of the qualifying tournament in Kelowna, Canada, where the last two tickets will be awarded.

Three wins and four defeats were not enough to reach the final podium of the top 3, and after a defeat against South Korea on Wednesday, the matter was clear. The two places will be contested by the curling-experienced USA, China and Japan.
