Alinghi loses an important man. Pierre-Yves Jorand and Ernesto Bertarelli's team have decided to part ways, as the Swiss syndicate announced in a press release.

Pierre-Yves Jorand, who played a key role in Alinghi's successes in the 2003 and 2007 America's Cups, was co-director and sporting director of the most recent campaign in Barcelona: "It is a well-considered decision that takes into account the development of the project and the ambitions of each individual," the press release states.
