Pius Suter and St. Louis lose 5-6 on penalties at home to the Philadelphia Flyers. It is the Blues' twelfth defeat in their 18th NHL game of the season.

The team from the state of Missouri led by two goals at one point in the final period (5:3). Suter got a good 15 minutes of ice time. The Zurich forward, who had a minus-2 record, did not score.

Trevor Zegras was the match-winner for the Flyers. The American recorded two goals and an assist in regulation time and was the only player to score in the shootout.

The Nashville Predators celebrated a rare success. The team led by injured Bernese defenceman Roman Josi beat Pittsburgh 2:1 after overtime to win again after five defeats in a row.
