Tiger Woods in handcuffs: Less than a week after his sensational accident in Jupiter Island, Florida, more details are emerging about the temporary detention of the golf superstar. A video recorded with a deputy's bodycam and released by the Martin County Sheriff's Office, according to media reports, shows the 50-year-old being taken into custody by police. It shows Woods having to undergo various tests, being handcuffed and having his pockets searched.
First, the golf star kneels by the side of the road while an officer puts on rubber gloves. Woods is then subjected to various alcohol tests. Among other things, he has to follow the wandering index finger of a police officer with his eyes and place closed fists exactly on top of each other after clapping his hands. His reaction to questions is also tested during the interview. He denies being asked about alcohol consumption and illegal drugs, but confirms taking medication.

Woods was released on bail from Martin County Jail on Friday a few hours after his arrest on drug charges. A breath alcohol test showed a value of zero. However, the 15-time major winner did not want to take a urine test. He was charged with driving under the influence and refusing to take a test in connection with the accident. Woods' first court hearing is scheduled for April 23.
Court documents show that Woods has pleaded not guilty. According to media reports, Woods said during questioning that he briefly looked at his cell phone and changed the radio station in his car before striking the trailer of another vehicle with his SUV and flipping his car.
The golf superstar will not captain the US team at the 2027 Ryder Cup in Ireland. The 50-year-old also wants to recover and receive treatment abroad. A request by his lawyer to leave the country for medical treatment was granted by a judge at Martin County District Court. It is not yet known when and where Woods will be traveling to.
