Gregor Deschwanden ends his most successful season to date with an 8th place at the ski flying competition in Planica. In 29 competitions, he has finished in the top ten 17 times.
The Lucerne native showed two great flights with 230 and 229.5 meters. He didn't quite get close to the best. The winner Anze Lanisek landed on his home hill after 247.5 and 241.5 meters and his compatriot Domen Prevc even set a world record with 254.5 meters. The Slovenians will be particularly pleased about this: they thus snatched the best mark from the facility in Vikersund, Norway.
