The 2026 Kranzfest season will take place without Marcel Räbsamen. The man from eastern Switzerland ruptures a cruciate ligament in training and will be out for a long time following an operation.

"Now it's time to do everything I can to make sure my knee is fully functional again for 2027," Räbsamen wrote on Instagram. The 25-year-old from Toggenburg made his big breakthrough last year. He achieved his first ever wreath victory on the Schwägalp shortly before the Swiss National Ski Championships.
