The 38-year-old recently lost to Novak Djokovic in the 2nd round of the singles at the Olympic Games. His next tournament appearance is scheduled for September 20-24 at the Laver Cup in Berlin.

Nadal has won the US Open four times (2010, 2013, 2017 and 2019).
