Two-time World Rally Champion Kalle Rovanperä is changing his field of activity. The Finn will be competing in the Japanese Super Formula series next year.
Three years ago, Rovanperä was the youngest driver in WRC history to win the title and successfully defended it the following season. With three races still to go this year, he still has a chance of winning the overall title.
For next year, however, the 25-year-old northerner is now looking for new paths. "Having already achieved so much in rallying at my age, I have started to think about what other opportunities I could have and what other challenges I would like to take on. I know that, as a rally driver, it's a leap in the dark for me. But I'm really looking forward to the new task."
