The captain and his team were left without a chance in the 3-0 loss to the Colorado Avalanche. Josi was on the ice for 20 minutes and immediately took on a supporting role again. Nashville came into the game against Colorado, who were celebrating their eighth win in a row, as clear underdogs.

"I felt good," the Bern native told the NHL's online portal. "It was nice to be back. I've been skating a lot the last couple weeks to keep my legs going. When you're injured, it's hard to just watch."

Three goals by two Swiss players

Despite three goals from two Swiss players, the New Jersey Devils lost 3:6 on the road against the Philadelphia Flyers. Timo Meier scored 1:0 on the power play before his team quickly fell behind 1:5. Captain Nico Hischier reduced the deficit to 3:5 with two goals and raised hopes again.

With a total of three scoring points - he provided the assist for the 1:0 - Hischier drew level with leader Kevin Fiala in the scoring list of the Swiss mercenaries. The Valais native (6 goals/10 assists) and the player from eastern Switzerland (9/7) are now on 16 points, closely followed by Meier (15 - 6/9).

Suter also scores

Pius Suter also scored on Sunday night. The Zurich native in the service of the St. Louis Blues scored for the first time in eight games in the 2:1 win against the New York Islanders. Janis Moser also celebrated a win: the Biel native set up a goal in the Tampa Bay Lightning's 5-3 win over the Washington Capitals.

Akira Schmid saved 29 of 33 shots as goalie for the Vegas Golden Knights. The Emmental native conceded the fourth goal against the Anaheim Ducks in overtime.

Lian Bichsel from Solothurn helped to save the Dallas Stars from a 2-0 deficit in the final period and into overtime. After a penalty shootout, however, Dallas was beaten 2:3 by the Calgary Flames.
