In the final of the best 12, Roth had problems landing due to too high an approach speed and was unable to land his jump. Werner did not manage an optimal jump either.

Roth ultimately finished in 7th place, with Werner directly behind him in 8th place. As a result, both missed out on the super final of the best six athletes and thus also the battle for the podium places. Chinese athlete Li Xinpeng secured victory ahead of compatriot Wang Xindi. The Canadian Miha Fontaine completed the podium.

The overall World Cup victory went to Sun Jiaxu, who finished 4th in Lake Placid. Werner and Roth are in 6th and 7th place respectively in the final ranking after the last World Cup competition - only two points separate them.

In the women's event, world champion Kaila Kuhn won the final event of the World Cup season. The American beat Xu Mengtao from China, who was already crowned overall World Cup winner before the final. The Australian Danielle Scott finished the competition in 3rd place. Lisa Kozomara, the only Swiss athlete, had already failed to qualify in Lake Placid.
