As hoped, Frenchman Wembanyama put on the show in Paris-Bercy. He scored 30 points on his way to a 140:110 victory against the Indian Pacers.

Wembanyama, the number 1 pick in 2023, was the game's top scorer and was cheered on by the almost 16,000 spectators. In addition to his 30 points, he also had eleven rebounds, six assists and five blocks. The 2.21 m tall all-rounder was celebrated for every action, but especially when he threw the ball to the board from the free throw line at the start of the final quarter and then converted it with a dunk.

San Antonio and Indiana will face each other again in Paris on Saturday.

The Atlanta Hawks suffered their third defeat in a row without Clint Capela from Geneva, who has a knee injury. They lost 119-122 to the Toronto Raptors, while Kyshawn George from Valais scored five points in the Washington Wizards' 93-110 defeat on the road against the Los Angeles Clippers.
