SC Bern, for a long time the ultimate in terms of spectator numbers in European ice hockey, is falling further down the rankings.
After being ousted by the Cologne Sharks last year after 22 years at the top, the team from Bern has now slipped to third place. This is despite an increase in the average number of spectators by more than 300 to 16,331 per game.
SKA St. Petersburg is now in 2nd place. The Russian KHL club benefited from its new arena, which has been the largest ice hockey stadium in Europe since 2023 with 21,500 seats - even larger than any NHL arena. The Cologne Sharks remain at the top of the table, once again beating their record from the previous year with an average of over 17,800 fans per game.
The clubs in the top 10 remained the same as in the previous season, only the order changed slightly. In addition to the SCB, another Swiss club - the ZSC Lions in ninth place - holds a place in the top ten.
