Armon Orlik's older brother is one point behind Schlegel at the halfway point of the competition and could overtake him with a victory. The surprise man of the first day, second-placed Fritz Ramseier, will clash with Thurgau heavyweight Domenic Schneider.

Joel Wicki and Armon Orlik, who are still 1.5 points behind the leaders, were assigned supposedly easier opponents. The king from central Switzerland is teaming up with Romain Collaud from south-western Switzerland, while the man from Graubünden is facing Steven Moser, who is part of the Swiss federation.

Matthias Aeschbacher, who is also ranked in 5th place, will be up against Matthias Herger from Central Switzerland.
