It is a premiere for the Emmental team. They will replace Fribourg-Gottéron, who have taken part in the traditional tournament in the last two years. "With their down-to-earth yet modern philosophy, both the organization and the team are an excellent fit for the Spengler Cup," OC President Marc Gianola was quoted as saying in a press release.
